American Traveler is seeking a skilled Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse to join our team for a travel nursing assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose patients' conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide treatment and interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Current professional license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Specialty-related certifications, such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), are preferred and may be required for specific travel positions.
- At least one year of recent experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department or a similar setting.
