Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team at Volvo Cars of Frederick.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors and suppliers.
- Assist with reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and analysis as needed to support management decision-making.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing issues, payment discrepancies, and other financial inquiries.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, photocopying, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred; experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and external partners.
