Emergency Department Nurse with Flexible Night Shift Schedule

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center. This per diem opportunity offers a flexible night shift schedule, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.
Job SummaryThis role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. As a dual-function clinical and managerial position, you will be expected to perform a wide range of duties, including direct and indirect patient care, participation in hiring staff, and communication with physicians and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Performs head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassesses as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Able to accurately assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating patients and families regarding pain management.
- Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients, accurately assigning triage categories.
To be successful in this role, you must possess current RN Registered Nurse licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. TNCC and ENPC certification is preferred.

Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
