Day Porter

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team at C&W Services. As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our facilities. This includes performing daily and periodic tasks, maintaining cleaning equipment, and working safely at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily interior cleaning tasks, including emptying waste receptacles, vacuuming and dusting, and cleaning restrooms.
  • May be required to perform exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance, including exterior walls and windows, parking lots and structures, and walkways and paths.
  • May be directed to assist with minor maintenance and repair work, including painting, replacing light bulbs and fixtures, and repairing doors and gates.
  • Other assigned duties may include gardening and lawn care, assisting with inventory control and supply ordering, and snow removal.
  • Expected to promptly notify management of spills and emergency situations, and to properly and safely use and operate related equipment and tools.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
