As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of clinicians in delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist patients with physical therapy treatment by providing comfort, support, and guidance.
- Perform daily tasks, including laundry, maintaining linens, and restocking supplies.
- Record daily notes and maintain accurate records under the supervision of physical therapists.
- Provide information to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Assist with patient treatment by applying ice or heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, and monitoring progress.
- Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect patient information.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Provide equipment and supplies to treatment areas, position equipment for therapists, and position patients on equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on physical therapy equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Manage physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and communicating with the team.
- Enhance the physical therapy department and organization reputation by taking ownership of new requests, exploring opportunities to add value, and being a team player.
- Collect garbage at the end of each working day.
- Report any issues or concerns to physical therapists.
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate active listening, ask clarifying questions, and provide feedback.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or a related field preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in customer service.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and present reports.
