Position OverviewRole Summary
The Radiopharmaceutical Technologist is responsible for the preparation, measurement, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals utilized in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves conducting and assisting in various nuclear medicine examinations while ensuring adherence to patient safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with established safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct nuclear medicine studies and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic results.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as guidelines set forth by relevant regulatory bodies.
- Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid license from the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
