Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive examinations to determine functional impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions.
  • Establish diagnoses and prognoses, develop individualized plans of care, and implement treatment interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers to promote independence and self-management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • State license issued by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
  • Preferred: Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, or relevant experience in program-specific settings.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Fit for duty in accordance with OSHA standards and program-specific needs.

Independent Action

Perform independently within departmental policies and practices, referring complex problems to ACM and/or Clinical Manager as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervision; responsible for supervising physical therapist assistants, supportive personnel, and students to ensure patient safety and welfare.
