Position Overview:
This role involves delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a Physician and as directed by a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include performing administrative, clerical, and clinical tasks as assigned. Adherence to the policies and procedures of The MetroHealth System is essential. The position requires maintaining patient safety and confidentiality at all times, along with accurate and timely documentation reflecting the patient's condition, treatment, and response to care. Commitment to the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System is expected.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Current certification as an EMT-Paramedic in the State of Ohio.
- Successful completion of the Intermediate EKG test within three months of employment.
- Obtaining Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic groups.

Physical Requirements:
The role may involve sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating intermittently throughout the day. Extended periods of sitting or standing may be required. Vision and hearing should be within normal ranges, with or without correction. The ability to lift and assist with weight is necessary, as well as the capacity to push or pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. The position may involve exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning products.
