Job Summary: Top Gun Staffing Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Operations organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our robotic material handling system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor System Health: Regularly monitor the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Identify and troubleshoot advanced system and operational issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems.
  • Communicate Technical Concepts: Clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts to site teams and customers, ensuring effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Document and Report Issues: Document and report issues to engineering teams, working with them to develop solutions and implement improvements.
  • Train and Assist Operators: Train and assist operators on overall system operation, including automated adapters, vertical lifts, robotic vehicles, warehouse management systems, and IT systems.
  • Backfill Key Roles: Step in and effectively backfill key onsite roles as needed, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.
  • Partner with Customers: Partner heavily with customers and internal/external clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Escalate Issues: Assist in escalating issues as required to support teams in resolving production-impacting problems.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives for continuous improvement, standardization, and improvement of the warehouse automation solution, focusing on production efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Ensure daily compliance with OSHA, client, and customer safety processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, automation engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience with automated systems, including PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens), Robot (ABB), and software languages such as SQL, Linux, Python.
  • Skills: Excellent hands-on experience with assembling, operating, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems, with a high sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: A desire to learn new equipment, assist team members as needed, and a high sense of urgency.
Working Conditions:
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Environmental Conditions: Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes, with temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required to wear proper PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection) as needed.
Benefits:

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000/year commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefits package.
