Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning
    • Conduct thorough and accurate patient assessments, analyzing data to develop individualized plans of care.
    • Implement care plans, prioritizing and timely, based on patient needs and physician orders.
  • Care Delivery
    • Provide direct patient care, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to meet physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, and age-specific needs.
    • Administer medications and treatments according to policy, procedure, and protocol.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring seamless care transitions.
    • Delegate tasks, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts, maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Education and Professional Development
    • Stay current with evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge, applying it to nursing practice.
    • Participate in ongoing education and professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education.
  • Experience
    • No experience required, but prior PACU experience preferred.
  • Licensure and Certifications
    • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Work Environment
