Chief Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Scientist to join our team at Honeywell Advanced Connected Sustainability Technologies (ACST). As a Chief Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding research teams and projects, driving innovation, and shaping the long-term technical strategy of Honeywell.

• Provide overall technical direction and vision for the Environment & Infrastructure group, balancing deep understanding of long-term technical and product development needs with the requirement to deliver immediate technical deliverables.
• Partner with engineering teams to define and execute research efforts, ensuring alignment with technical objectives and the E&I roadmap.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Develop comprehensive research strategies that integrate key scientific questions, resolve technical challenges, and incorporate new technologies.
• Collaborate with senior experts and external partners to address critical business objectives and interact effectively with internal/external customer leadership.
• Provide top-level technical objectives, themes, requirements, key constraints, guardrails, milestones, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
• Create a technical integration plan across core leads, deconflicting plans, projects, and technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of technical leadership experience, with a strong track record of driving innovation and delivering results.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
