Job Summary:

HexaQuEST Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic MRI examinations while ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuity of patient care and image exam throughout and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs all MRI examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, sends completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician's name and signature, patient's name, and date.
Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians, co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.
Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.
Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year previous MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience in healthcare required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) credentials: R.T.(R )(MR)(ARRT) required. OR American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Working Conditions:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and/or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.

The incumbent must be able to come to work promptly and routinely in order to begin the job functions at the start of the scheduled shift to impact the patients' healthcare experience. Ability to care for oneself; perform manual tasks; see, speak, breath, learn, read, concentrate, think, communicate, and work are essential to perform this role in the organization. Ability to work under stress and to deadline while working (independently or) with others. This position does provide patient care.
