Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our team at Denny's. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and seat customers in a timely and courteous manner
  • Take orders and ensure prompt placement of food and beverages
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques to increase guest check average
  • Remove unneeded dishes and utensils to maintain a clean and organized dining area
  • Inform management of any safety hazards, guest complaints, or other problems
  • Complete required paperwork and perform daily cleaning tasks
  • Adhere to company standards, policies, and sanitation guidelines
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests
  • Assist other service personnel as needed
Accountabilities

As a Server, you will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring that customers are greeted and served food and beverage in a pleasant and courteous manner
  • Entering and checking orders for accuracy
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Above standard verbal and written skills
  • Above standard communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Guest-oriented personality
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Ability to function under stress during peak hours of operation
  • Excellent physical condition due to walking, standing, lifting, bending, and extreme temperature variances
  • Simple math skills required
  • Flexibility and ability to manage change
  • Ability to meet any State, County, or Municipal regulations pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling
