Eastern Connecticut Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our medical office team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients, working closely with providers and staff to coordinate patient care.

In this role, you will be responsible for administering prescribed medications, vaccinations, and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. You will also prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. Additionally, you will observe, report, and record patients' condition and reactions to meds and treatments.

Your expertise will also be essential in educating patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. You will respond to and/or anticipate emergency situations in a calm, efficient manner, and document all sample medication dispensed in the medical record.

We offer a competitive salary of $**$55,000 - $65,000 per year**, depending on experience. As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Eastern Connecticut Health Network, you will work in a fast-paced, confidential medical environment that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. A reliable transportation and the ability to float to other offices as needed are also essential requirements of this role.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program
  • Current licensure in the state of Connecticut
  • Maintains clinical competency required for area of assignment, including Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Experience with computer scheduling systems preferred (e.g., Meditech and Ntierprise)
  • 1 year experience working in a medical facility
