The Aspenwood Company - Heartis Mid Cities seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Living Director of Care to lead our team at our Independent Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care senior living community.

Job Overview

We are offering a competitive salary of $90,000 per year for this exceptional opportunity. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our resident care and medication programs.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and lead the resident care and medication programs to promote the health and wellness of our residents.
  • Assist in the completion of new hire paperwork, monitoring time sheets, and performing evaluations as required by company policy.
  • Complete or oversee scheduling for all medication and care assistants.
  • Participate in clinical on-call schedule as required and assume on-call duties for staffing and clinical needs.
Leadership Skills

You will possess demonstrated effective leadership skills in fiscal and clinical management, strategic planning, program and staff development. Your ability to establish and maintain working relationships with key staff, marketing contacts, and clinical staff will be essential in ensuring a thorough understanding of our services offered.

Medication Program Oversight
  • Provide training, supervision, and monitoring of Medication Assistants in the assistance of medications, including frequent auditing of medication sheets, medication passes, shift change MAR audit, and Narcotic counts.
  • Assure that all prescribed medications have orders, are available, and are transcribed correctly in the Electronic Medical Administration Record (EMAR).
Wellness Program Management
  • Initiate resident service plans according to individualized needs, prescribes by physician and/or community policy.
  • Ensure all daily services are completed by Resident Assistants and service plans are updated swiftly when changes are reported.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of one year management experience in senior living or related health programs with memory care experience preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited LVN/LPN/RN program.
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LVN/LPN in Texas.
  • Current CPR certification.
