Position Summary
The Ticket Seller at Birmingham Jefferson Co is tasked with the direct sale of tickets at the box office, utilizing Ticketmaster for public events. This role involves providing information and assistance to customers while collaborating with the Box Office Management Team on various administrative duties, including filing, emailing, and reconciling event-related documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests to enhance their experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions to ensure accurate ticket sales and administrative processes.
  • Engage effectively with customers through listening, speaking, and writing in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Respond promptly to ticket inquiries and requests.
  • Commit to delivering exceptional guest service by sharing service standards and encouraging team members to enhance the box office experience.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding seating, special requests, and ticketing for various groups and promotions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Utilize office equipment proficiently within the box office environment and manage ticket sales through the Ticketmaster system.
  • Handle financial transactions, including credit card processing and will-call receipts, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Review event information to verify accuracy and maintain a well-organized ticket counter area.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Work Environment
