We are seeking a highly skilled OB/GYN Physician to join our team at Matrix Providers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services to our military and their families.
Job Summary:The OB/GYN Physician will diagnose and treat diseases of the genitourinary system and reproductive system. You will perform routine and complicated antenatal patients, place IUDs, and perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean-sections. Additionally, you will perform routine pelvic exams, evaluate abnormal pap smears, and perform routine GYN surgery.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat diseases of the genitourinary system and reproductive system
- Perform routine and complicated antenatal patients
- Place IUDs
- Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean-sections
- Perform routine pelvic exams
- Evaluate abnormal pap smears
- Perform routine GYN surgery
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, radiographs, electrocardiograms, and other data necessary to complete appropriate evaluation of patients
- Participate in peer review and perform appropriate ICD-9 coding for all evaluations and services rendered
- Provide preoperative consultations and perioperative management
- Administer and/or prescribe special medications needed for treatment
- Provide technical direction, assistance, and training to technicians as assigned
- Doctorate degree from an accredited college approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or Doctor of Osteopathy from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- At least two years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology after residency caring for patients within the last six years or at least one year of experience on a civilian or military hospital staff within the last six years
- Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) or an equivalent accredited program
- Unrestricted license in one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
