{"Responsibilities": "Leadership and Team Management

As a Charge Nurse in our Med Surg unit, you will be responsible for coordinating unit staffing and providing leadership to ensure the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care.

  • Assign and direct nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
  • Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  • 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience.
