Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Grand Forks Public Schools. The successful candidate will work closely with the special education case manager in the multiple impairments classroom to ensure the medical needs of students are met in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the special education case manager to support students with medical conditions/diagnosis that require a high level of attention.
- Complete training based on students' specific medical conditions/diagnosis.
- Communicate with parents, case managers, and district supervisors on student medical needs.
- Provide training to UAPs on student-specific medical care.
- Maintain health supplies and documentation for students.
- Accompany students on field trips and off-campus events.
- Current, active, unrestricted North Dakota Board of Nursing or Compact State Agreement license.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the special education case manager and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be required to stand for long periods, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong organizational and time management skills.
Evaluation and BenefitsJob performance will be evaluated by the district supervisor. Employees who work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for health insurance and other voluntary benefits.
