Senior Care Medical Professional Role Overview
We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide compassionate and evidence-based medical care to seniors and patients with complex needs.
About the Role:
- Examine and treat various health issues, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
- Work in various care settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, independent living, group homes, and private homes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform evidence-based medical care by planning, directing, and evaluating patient medical needs.
- Examine and treat chronic and urgent episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries or illnesses.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing as needed.
- Collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals in providing interdisciplinary care and maintaining a comprehensive plan of care.
- Provide referrals to other healthcare practitioners when necessary.
- Ensure patient medical records are kept up to date.
Requirements:
- Active state Nurse Practitioners license.
- Current Nurse Practitioner National Board Certification.
- Active state DEA licensure.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Five or more years of nursing experience; at least two years of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
