Position Overview: HealthAlliance Hospital, a key member of WMCHealth, presents an outstanding opportunity for a Nephrologist in the Kingston, NY area. The Nephrology Division is in search of a skilled Nephrologist to become part of a successful multi-physician Nephrology practice in the Hudson Valley region. Our department currently comprises three practicing Nephrologists and a seasoned Nurse Practitioner, and we are expanding due to a surge in patient demand.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess an MD (or equivalent) degree and should be board certified or board eligible in Nephrology by the time of hire.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a New York State medical license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outpatient general nephrology consultations.
  • Perform rounds in the outpatient dialysis unit.
  • Provide inpatient consultations at HealthAlliance Hospital.
  • Engage in unique opportunities to develop and enhance the home dialysis program.
  • Potential for medical directorship roles.
  • On-call responsibilities will be 1:4, with the Hospitalist service managing all admissions.
  • New graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
