We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Baggage Handler to join our team at Unifi. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of customer baggage, air cargo, and mail.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and mail from damage, loss, or theft.
- Lift, load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Receive and record customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials as required.
- Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, and prepare records in connection with these responsibilities.
- Utilize computer software to track and catalogue luggage.
- Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments, and enter information into the Company's information system as required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items of 70 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis.
