Job Summary:

The Arizona Veterans' Home- Flagstaff is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, treatment, and services in a professional and prescribed manner. You will work in a safe, therapeutic, and hygienic environment, ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication and perform treatments as ordered by the physician and within the scope of your license.
- Receive and deliver information regarding residents' medical, social, functional, and other needs.
- Communicate with residents, family, and staff to ensure residents receive appropriate care from the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform initial admission nursing assessments and assist with the development of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews, and care plans.
- Maintain clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatment, and summary of client progress.
- Lead and perform limited supervision of subordinate staff and assist with direct resident care for completion of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Conduct in-service training and staff development programs for regularly employed staff and other duties as assigned.
- Utilize Arizona Management System (AMS) concepts and tools for problem-solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiency.

Requirements:
- Current Negative Tb skin test (Mantoux skin test) within the last 12 months or a written statement from a physician, physician's assistant, or registered nurse practitioner indicating freedom from tuberculosis, if in the past had a positive skin test or tuberculosis.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Current or temporary license to practice as a CNA/LPN/RN nurse in the State of Arizona.
- Current CPR card that was obtained by physical assessment.
- Possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment.
