Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic orthopedic surgery team. This full-time role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons and fellow Advanced Practice Providers in a supportive and collegial atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of essential duties, including:

  • Assisting in surgical procedures, including first assist roles and wound closure techniques.
  • Providing comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care in clinical settings.
  • Conducting thorough histories and physical examinations.
  • Interpreting diagnostic tests and formulating treatment plans for orthopedic conditions.
  • Ordering and performing necessary laboratory and diagnostic studies.
  • Executing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as joint aspirations and injections.
  • Applying orthopedic devices, including braces and casts.
  • Conducting hospital rounds and collaborating with the orthopedic surgeon on patient care.

Work Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, primarily consisting of surgical and clinical responsibilities. While there are no mandatory on-call duties, flexibility for occasional weekend cases may be required.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
  • Surgical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Washington State license in good standing.
  • Board certification is required by the time of employment.
  • Current DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
