Staff Nurse II, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill children and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients with complex medical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN licensure in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- 2 years of recent experience in pediatric intensive care nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions. The nurse must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed. The nurse must also be able to stand for long periods and move quickly and efficiently throughout the unit.

Pay Range:
The salary range for this role is $77.30 to $104.61 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
