The Head of Patient Care Operations is tasked with the crucial role of developing, executing, and assessing the organization's healthcare services to uphold and enhance quality standards while supporting the mission and objectives of the organization in accordance with established policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise hospice divisions (both clinical and non-clinical) as designated by the Chief Operating Officer.
2. Coordinate and manage all direct and indirect patient care services delivered by clinical staff.
3. Offer direction and support to team leaders, site managers, and other supervisors to foster continuous improvement in all facets of hospice and palliative care services rendered by agency personnel.

4. Assist clinical managers in overseeing hospice and palliative care teams and strategic planning.
5. Evaluate operational metrics to detect changes in patient census and fluctuations in service volume that may affect staffing, revenue, or costs, and propose and implement necessary adjustments.


Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree (BSN) in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.

A minimum of 3 years of experience within the last 5 years in a hospice or home health agency, primary care clinic, or healthcare facility, with at least one year in a supervisory or administrative role.

Alternatively, an Associate's degree (ADN) in Nursing from an accredited institution is acceptable.

A minimum of 4 years of experience within the last 5 years in a hospice or home health agency, primary care clinic, or healthcare facility, with at least one year in a supervisory or administrative role.


Licenses and Certifications:
Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of California is required, with a BSN preferred.
Certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) and/or Public Health Nurse (PHN) is preferred.
A valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance that complies with State of California requirements are necessary if driving is involved.
