About the Role

The Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process. This individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of products through the production cycle. The successful candidate will provide timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing to the production manager, ensuring that both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite the flow of material to meet production schedules
  • Support purchasing to expedite supplier purchase orders if required
  • Utilize the ERP system to coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages
  • Notify the Production Manager of any schedule impacts to customers
  • Coordinate and expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved
  • Complete status reports, including production progress, customer information, and materials inventory
  • Exercise judgment and practice to determine appropriate action
About You

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of production processes and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Production and processing knowledge, including raw materials, electrical components, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with internal and external customers
  • Proficient use of computer systems and software applications, including ERP or MRP software
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of production planning experience in a related industry
Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience is preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and are not eligible for sponsorship.
