Position Overview:
At NorthBay Health, as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will deliver safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care to our patients, adhering to Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and the principles of Relationship-Based Care. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for all patients assigned to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance health promotion, maintenance, and restoration.
- Exhibit the core values of NorthBay, which include Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence in daily practice.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited professional registered nursing program.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher is mandatory.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Possession of a valid, current, and unencumbered RN license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Telemetry certification must be obtained within three months of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required within 18 months of hire.
- National Certification in Critical Care is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of six months of acute care RN experience is required, with one year in an ICU setting preferred.
- Proficient in delivering skilled nursing care to patients at the ICU level.
- Demonstrated abilities in patient assessment, safe medication administration, and arrhythmia interpretation.
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate in written, verbal, and electronic formats.
Additional Information:
- All RNs in the Patient Care Services Department are required to adhere to the professional appearance policy, which includes wearing Graphite (Dark Gray) colored scrubs.
Compensation:
Hourly pay is based on years of experience.
Night Differential: $9.80 per hour
Evening Differential: $6.60 per hour
