Job Title: Off-The-Road (OTR) Tire Technician

Colony Tire Corporation is seeking a skilled Off-The-Road (OTR) Tire Technician to join our team. As an OTR Tire Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch tire service and repair for off-the-road equipment, including construction, earthmoving, mining, and farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and repair tires, wheels, and related equipment
  • Operate heavy-duty tire service equipment and tools, including boom cranes, cribbing, jacks, compressors, electric, and hydraulic equipment
  • Mount and dismount tires, including multi-piece rims
  • Match mating of dual assemblies
  • Identify and inflate tires correctly for size, ply, and load requirements
  • Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects
  • Perform service calls on nights and/or weekends on a rotating basis
  • Properly maintain assigned service vehicle, including appearance and on-board service equipment and tools
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency, and/or related experience
  • OTR service training and certifications preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and ability to meet commercial driver qualification requirements
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. Job duties may be done at Colony Tire's location, at customer locations, and on service calls at customer work sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
