Job Description

At Flik Hospitality Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for the successful management of the Culinary Department, ensuring the highest quality food products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and create menus that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Produce and execute catering events with precision and attention to detail.
  • Develop and implement new culinary programs in conjunction with our marketing and culinary teams.

Requirements:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Catering experience is a plus, as is high-volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet.
  • Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities.
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
