Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the CT Technologist is responsible for performing both routine and specialized imaging procedures. The following duties outline the expectations for this role:

  • Demonstrate clinical proficiency in CT imaging across various patient demographics, selecting appropriate technical parameters tailored to individual patient needs. Adhere to safety protocols for radiation exposure.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of CT methodologies, including anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities within electronic health record systems.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by managing supplies and reporting equipment issues in accordance with established policies.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or a certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
  • A Bachelor's degree in health sciences or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in CT imaging is advantageous but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography is preferred.
  • State licensure as a Radiographer in Maryland is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
