We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chess Tutor to join our after-school enrichment program. As a Chess Tutor, you will have the opportunity to cultivate children\u2019s love for the game, make chess fun, and strengthen their life skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interactive, friendly, and fun classes with 10-15 kids
  • Teach chess strategies and techniques to students of various skill levels
  • Encourage good sportsmanship and a love for the game
  • Utilize Chess Wizards\u2019 curriculum and class materials
  • Maintain promptness and punctuality
  • Implement COVID-19 prevention practices
Requirements:
  • Some chess ability (Champion level not required)
  • USCF rating is a plus
  • Teaching/tutoring/camp counselor experience is a plus
  • Ability to drive between locations
  • Capability to fully utilize Chess Wizards\u2019 curriculum and class materials
What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay: $50 - $75 per hour and a half session
  • Flexible hours: Between 1 to 5 one-hour classes per week in the afternoon
  • Travel compensation: Provided for trips over 12.5 miles
