Mailer Assistant

Join the New York Times team as a Mailer (Priority Sub) and contribute to our production facility in Queens. This part-time in-person role requires night-time and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place inserts by hand into the insert machine, with each hold weighing 10 lbs or less.

• Maintain high-quality and efficient production according to the production plan and timeline.

• Clear product jams and remove pallets, which may involve bending and lifting.

• Stack bundles weighing between 10-30 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment to meet production deadlines.

• Capacity to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and squat in a repetitive manner.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs by hand.

• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and collaboratively.
