As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll work as part of a healthcare team within a specialty department, assisting with procedures and planning care interventions while promoting high-quality patient care. You'll manage time efficiently to maintain patient flow and provide personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, including injections and IV therapy, as needed and within the scope of licensure.
- Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as wound dressing, catheterizations, and applying compresses.
- Clean and prepare medical treatment rooms for patient visits.
- Assemble and use equipment appropriate to specific medical practices.
- Enter patient information into the computer accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide clerical support to patients, including making appointments, booking procedures, and answering telephones.
- Manage medical inventory and supply ordering based on par levels.
Requirements:
- Graduate of LPN school program.
- IV and/or phlebotomy skills preferred.
