Position Summary

The Level 2 Systems Administrator is a full-time role that involves providing direct, customer-facing technical support across various corporate offices and healthcare facilities. This position entails after-hours on-call support responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule. The nature of customer support inquiries can vary from straightforward to complex, encompassing both software and hardware troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

As the primary point of contact for internal technical issues, the Level 2 Systems Administrator is responsible for:

  • Providing one-on-one support through various channels including phone, email, chat, remote access, and in-person.
  • Collecting diagnostic information and executing logical troubleshooting steps.
  • Documenting issues and resolutions, and where necessary, escalating unresolved matters to appropriate support resources.
Required Knowledge and Skills

To excel in this role, a Level 2 Systems Administrator should possess a strong technical foundation and the ability to independently research credible information sources. Essential skills include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of domain infrastructures and networking principles (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching).
  • Familiarity with software installation processes and basic PC hardware.
  • Aptitude for server and desktop operating systems and hardware repairs.
Educational Background

A minimum of a 2-year associate degree focused on Information Technology Fundamentals is required. Relevant work experience and/or certifications from Microsoft, FortiGate, and Cisco may be accepted as equivalent qualifications.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in an IT support role or as a technical support representative.
