Job Summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking an Underwriting Assistant I to join our team. As an Underwriting Assistant I, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriting team by providing excellent customer service, processing endorsements, and assisting with underwriting submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to producers and home office personnel, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process endorsements, premium audits, and other transactions as directed by underwriters.
  • Assist underwriters with underwriting of new submissions and renewals, including securing underwriting information and preparing business letters and correspondence.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including assisting with special projects and training co-workers as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with producers and home office personnel.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
