Job Summary

Camin Cargo Control is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector - Junior to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for performing unsupervised gauging and sampling of shore tanks and sampling of barges and ships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform gauging and sampling of shore tanks and sampling of barges and ships under the supervision of an experienced Inspector.
  • Certify that field assignments conform to company policies and procedures as well as job-specific instructions supplied by the Operations Department.
  • Act as a company representative in the field, maintaining a professional and dignified manner to uphold the company's respected and trusted reputation.
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner, with regular communication with the Operations Department to avoid delays or conflicts.
  • Measure material in shore tanks, perform all required field calculations, complete all required field documentation, and submit reports to the Operations Department in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • No minimum experience necessary.
  • Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with good math skills.
  • Must complete training and pass corresponding theoretical tests and field evaluations.
  • Must maintain a valid Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Must possess and maintain a vehicle in good working order, a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and registration.
  • Must be dependable, able to work independently, and effectively communicate and maintain professional relationships with numerous clients.
  • Must pass company-defined physical requirements and meet and maintain site-specific requirements mandated by customers and/or terminals to access all facilities.
Working Conditions

The workday may consist of 8-12 hours, with possible exposure to high and low temperatures for prolonged durations. Work may be performed during day or nighttime hours and may involve working alone.

The job requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs., walk up to 6 hours, push/pull up to 2 hours, carry up to 4 hours, ascend/descend ladders/stairs up to 2 hours, and stand up to 6 hours.

The job also requires the ability to use tools weighing 5-8 lbs. for up to 4 hours and sit for up to 6 hours.

Driving is also a requirement for up to 4 hours.
