About the Role

CertaPro Painters of Indianapolis is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painting Specialist to join our team. As a Painting Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services to our residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Job Preparation: Move all items in a room to the center, cover with sheeting, and cover floors with drop cloths for interior jobs or power/hand-wash for exterior jobs.
  • Surface Preparation: Repair holes and cracks, seal stains, and sand surfaces for interior jobs or remove loose paint, scuff sand areas, and caulk gaps to prevent water intrusion for exterior jobs.
  • Painting: Prime repaired areas and apply premium quality paint to a uniform finish.
  • Clean-up: Move all items back to desired locations, sweep/vacuum floors and carpets for interior jobs, remove paint chips or other debris for exterior jobs, and remove all job materials.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work for the highest quality.
  • Work Order Execution: Understand and execute work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain strict attention to detail when working at customer's property.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain clean, organized work areas and securely store equipment and supplies.
  • Safety: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Documentation: Ensure that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Business Development: Promote business development by projecting a positive image of CertaPro during interactions with employees, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Participate in meetings, committees, educational opportunities, etc. as requested/required, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school a plus.
  • Experience: Three years of professional painting experience preferred.
  • Skills: Painting skills and knowledge of painting tools and equipment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Industry knowledge preferred.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Organization: Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Quality Consciousness: Quality conscious and detail-oriented.
  • Driver's License: Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Vehicle: Must have own vehicle.
