We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on 2 North, a 30-bed medical-surgical unit at Lutheran Hospital. As an Acute Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide and coordinate nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
- Complete documentation to assure an accurate record of patient's care.
- Utilize critical thinking in making independent judgments, and maintain responsibility for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other professionals in planning and implementing care within hospital policy and legal limitations.
- Assess needs of patients and families, provides appropriate teaching to facilitate discharge planning, and makes the necessary referrals to community agencies to provide continuity of care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Qualifications: Current active Iowa License to practice as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of six months RN experience.
