Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement reliability validation plans for new products.
  • Plan and conduct Telcordia testing for all product lines, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain lab and test equipment, ensuring they are in working condition and calibrated.
  • Analyze data for trends using JMP software, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform physics of failure mechanisms and accelerated life testing to determine lifetime calculations.
  • Conduct Design for Reliability (DfR) exercises and work with project leaders to identify design risks.
  • Develop reliability assessment plans for product lifecycles in real-world conditions.
  • Work with engineers to perform failure analysis during product development and manufacturing stages.
  • Write reliability reports according to Telcordia and other industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Material Science, Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with quality and reliability tools, technologies, and methods, such as FMEA, Six Sigma, FRACAS, and 8D.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a reliability-focused role.
  • Experience with reliability engineering principles and reliability test procedures.
  • Experience with statistical process control and reliability testing standards.
  • Good understanding of failure analysis methods and tools, especially in Material Science, PCBA, PCB, optical epoxies, lasers, PD, MPD, and electrical components.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Use of Reliasoft or equivalent reliability tools.
  • Familiarity with 8D, 5 Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP), and problem-solving.
  • Good understanding of optical components, volume production methods, and flexible PCB (FPC) or PCB manufacturing and production processes.
