Position Overview

Role Summary

The Director of Information Systems and Technology will spearhead the IT initiatives across the Cooperative, ensuring the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directs the IT team in crafting technology solutions that effectively tackle business challenges and opportunities.
  • Regularly assesses cybersecurity risks through comprehensive audits and investigations.
  • Monitors compliance with federal technology security regulations.
  • Oversees the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software, including system upgrades.
  • Provides strategic recommendations to enhance IT infrastructure.
  • Designs and enforces business continuity strategies to mitigate operational disruptions during emergencies or data loss incidents.
  • Collaborates with external vendors and technical experts to continuously enhance the Cooperative's technological capabilities.
  • Facilitates technology updates and conducts training sessions for team members on new technological features.
  • Develops and manages the IT budget in partnership with the Finance department and Leadership team.
  • Recruits, supervises, trains, and evaluates all IT personnel.
  • Addresses and resolves complex network issues efficiently.
  • Ensures comprehensive PC maintenance support for all users.
  • Guarantees prompt resolution of technical issues faced by employees.
  • Works closely with various departments to understand and fulfill their IT requirements.
  • Completes administrative tasks, duties, and reports as necessary and within deadlines.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee and Cooperative information.
  • Adheres to all organizational policies, including safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of leadership experience in Information Technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer security best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Promotes a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communicator capable of engaging with employees at all levels.
  • Extensive expertise in Information Technology.
  • Proven leadership skills, including project management.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods.
