Job Summary

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnostic imaging process, working independently to perform complex procedures and utilize state-of-the-art equipment. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams, utilizing computerized imaging equipment.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures, utilizing MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of charges in the billing system.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by regulatory entities.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
