Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor Overnight

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company with a strong commitment to quality and safety. We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor Overnight to join our team in Lenox, Iowa.

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Supervisor Overnight will be responsible for managing and coordinating sanitation activities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This includes supervising sanitation staff, monitoring cleaning and sanitation procedures, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate sanitation activities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with GMPs and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise sanitation staff and provide training on proper sanitation practices and chemical safety
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Master Sanitation program, Pre-op inspection, and Visual observation
  • Communicate issues or potential issues to management and lead cross-functional sanitation teams
  • Perform visual and scientific observation of plant, equipment, and parts for cleanliness
  • Accompany USDA inspector during pre-op inspections and conduct safety and educational training
  • Inventory and order sanitation supplies and ensure regulatory compliance at all times
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three successful years working in sanitation in the food industry
  • Knowledge of CIP required
  • Understanding and ability to write SSOPs
  • Keen awareness and enforcement of safety procedures and precautions
  • Knowledge of USDA and FDA guidelines and regulations
  • Experience working with USDA is a plus
  • Knowledge of chemicals and chemical usage
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Working computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
