Job Description: Autopsy Investigator Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Autopsy Investigator Specialist to join our team in Sheboygan County, WI. As an Autopsy Investigator Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting autopsies, investigating deaths, and gathering evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct autopsies, including supervising and/or attending autopsies related to criminal investigations.
  • Gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and assess the cause and manner of death.
  • Record fees for services and ensure collection in coordination with the Finance Department.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of post-high school education in a relevant field such as Nursing, Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine (Pre-med), Paramedic/EMT, Forensic Science, or Criminal Justice.
  • At least two years of medicolegal investigative experience.

Salary: Estimated salary range $60,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
