QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CLINICAL NURSE ROLE:
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- Valid and unrestricted nursing license in the state of practice.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- Background checks as mandated by state regulations or contractual obligations.
- Drug testing as required by the contract.
- Ability to interpret medical equipment and documentation. The role may involve moving medical supplies and equipment.
- Physical capability to lift at least 30 pounds, navigate stairs, assist patients, walk significant distances, and stand for extended periods.
- CPR certification as required by the facility; health screenings as dictated by specific facilities or regulatory bodies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to ATC Marietta's policies and procedures.
- Delivers comprehensive care services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Evaluates patients' healthcare needs through routine assessments and formulates, executes, and reviews personalized nursing care plans.
- Conducts health screenings for patients or clients.
- Responds promptly to patients' emergency healthcare needs.
- Collects and documents data pertinent to patients' health status.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Responsibilities may vary based on departmental assignments (e.g., Emergency Room, infection control, health education, quality assurance).
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Upholds ethical standards and professional nursing practices as defined by the American Nurses Association or equivalent organization.
- Provides patient care in a respectful, non-discriminatory manner that acknowledges cultural diversity and age appropriateness, ensuring autonomy, rights, and dignity are upheld.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change as needed.
