We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Director - Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at MJ Care Inc. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our contract sites and personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care:
- Develop and implement effective patient treatment plans, ensuring at least 60% of total hours are dedicated to patient care.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with Regional Director to promote community awareness of therapy services and establish relationships with facility administrators and staff.
- Facilitate effective oral, written, and verbal communication with individuals involved in patient care and department operations.
- Coordinate the orientation of new associates and facilitate department meetings on a weekly basis.
- Staffing and Hiring:
- Consult with Regional Director regarding salary limitations and provide evidence of staffing needs.
- Assist in the hiring process, including orientation, training, competency assessment, and education of new associates.
- Assign and schedule team members for home health services based on patient needs.
- Nurturing, Coaching, and Consulting:
- Recognize, support, and offer constructive feedback to all rehab staff.
- Staff Evaluation and Performance Review:
- Evaluate the performance of all rehab staff with the assistance of Regional Director and consultants.
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Fiscal Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing budgets and analyzing productivity within facilities.
- Monitor utilization of department resources, including professional and support staff, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor and approve timesheets, ensuring accuracy and authorizing overtime as needed.
- Level II Access:
- Protect access to Personal Health Information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Marginal Job Functions:
- Participate in the development and implementation of facility policies, plans, and programs.
- Attend state and national conferences to network and promote MJ Care Inc. as a leader in rehabilitation services.
- Direct and oversee the operations of the home health division, ensuring compliance with national, federal, and state regulations.
- Complete necessary duties related to OASIS assessment reporting and communication.
- Education and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Therapist program.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a PT, OTR, SLP, COTA, or PTA, including a minimum of 1 year of experience as a supervisor.
- Possesses effective interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and experience in business management.
- Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) and valid driver's license in good standing.
- Successful completion of a caregiver background check and pre-employment screen.
- Physical and Cognitive Qualifications:
- Use of upper extremities for light repetitive, fine motor tasks.
- Adequate senses to safely and effectively treat patients or assist in emergency situations.
- Has a working knowledge of the proper and safe use of therapy equipment.
- Medium to heavy physical demand level, exerting force up to 50-75 pounds occasionally and 20-50 pounds frequently.
- Good problem-solving, organizational, math, and communication skills.
- Ability to concentrate, learn, possess good memory and listening skills.
- Possesses good time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Licensure and Certification:
- Per individual state requirements. For OTR/COTA - NBCOT certification is required.
