Job Title: Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a nationally and internationally recognized, integrated Extension-research program on agricultural risk management and agricultural finance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a research program focused on agricultural risk management and agricultural finance.
  • Conduct research and extension activities to improve the health, prosperity, and welfare of people in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and beyond.
  • Teach and mentor students in agricultural economics and related fields.
  • Secure external funding to support research and extension activities.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or related field.
  • Experience in research, extension, and competing for grants on agricultural economics topics.
  • Excellent quantitative and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
