Job Summary:

The Catering Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by delivering high-quality meal services. This position requires a team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that patients receive their meals in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain patient meal selections and provide menus based on diet orders.
  • Assemble, deliver, and retrieve meal trays, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, dietitians, and nurses to meet the meal service needs of patients.
  • Assist in the dish room, adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Restock unit pantries with supplies as needed, ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to teamwork.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is also preferred. The individual in this position must be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
