Primarily day shifts with occasional support for off shifts.
Role Overview:
As a Continuous Improvement Process Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in process enhancement methodologies to assess and interpret our manufacturing operations and data. You will identify trends or discrepancies to define challenges, prioritize tasks, and implement solutions.
Formulate and execute both short-term and long-term strategies to enhance product and process quality, reduce cycle times, increase productivity, and minimize equipment downtime.
Establish and monitor site performance metrics, empowering the team to comprehend and track these metrics as well. Develop and execute improvement initiatives, while encouraging ideas from all levels of the organization.
Facilitate team discussions and guide teams in implementing methods to measure and sustain improvements in processes.
Educate the team on continuous improvement techniques and the application of statistical analysis.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data through the evaluation of existing processes. Prepare reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to summarize operations and emphasize findings.
Instruct the team on Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Lead and coordinate initiatives aimed at cost reduction, productivity enhancement, process optimization, and quality improvement.
Assess opportunities for process enhancement, define relevant metrics, and develop actionable improvement plans.
Collaborate with various departments to prioritize process enhancements to achieve operational excellence.
Act as a daily advocate for the benefits of continuous improvement while addressing diverse perceptions of the tools and their potential impact on the organization.
Travel up to 10% may be required for improvement initiatives.Qualifications:
A degree in engineering or a related discipline; Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR a high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Exceptional project management and facilitation abilities. Project Management certification is preferred.
