Key Responsibilities

The individual will be part of a dedicated team responsible for all onsite IT operations. The technician will coordinate and execute maintenance tasks for networks and servers, identify recurring issues, and propose solutions to mitigate their impact. The role encompasses installation, troubleshooting, and upkeep of a wide range of products and equipment. The technician will provide services in technical support, system upgrades, software integration, and operational assistance. Specific duties include:

  • Offering on-call support by diagnosing, researching, and resolving technical issues via the ticketing system.
  • Collaborating with network services and software engineering teams to restore services and rectify core issues.
  • Suggesting system modifications to minimize user difficulties.
  • Conducting routine system maintenance and analysis, including hardware configurations and component management.
  • Installing operating system updates and patches using management tools.
  • Providing remote support for telecommuting users.
  • Ensuring user applications function effectively over remote access solutions.
  • Managing user relocation requests.
  • Ensuring device encryption compliance.
  • Executing local cabling tasks.
  • Delivering onsite support for enterprise groups, including network and security operations.
  • Restarting network devices as directed.
  • Replacing faulty network equipment.
  • Assisting users with mobile devices.
  • Providing tier 2 support, including hardware troubleshooting and operating system reinstallation.
  • Supporting asset inventory management.
  • Assisting with physical inventory processes.
  • Preparing equipment for disposal while adhering to disposal policies.
  • Ensuring complete data wiping of devices prior to disposal.
  • Managing video conferencing systems and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Collaborating with support staff for remote troubleshooting.
  • Assisting in the setup of presentation and conferencing equipment.
  • Gathering and analyzing end-user support trends.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.

Required Skills and Experience

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Strong technical proficiency.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • At least 6 months of experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh systems in a customer service environment.
  • Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity with remote resolution tools and software installation processes.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, and CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.

Clearance Requirement

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
